CRDB BANK ORGANIZES JUNIOR JUMBO PARTY CRDB Bank, organised a party for Junior Jumbo Account holders at Wet N Wild in Dar es salaam on December 22nd, 2004. More than 300 children between 6 and 16 years took part in the event. This is an annual event that aim at exposing and encouraging children to identify themselves with the J.J. account. The account also serves as a means to inculcate savings behaviour amongst children. At Wet N Wild, children were entertained with various activities including swimming, dancing competition and football. |

CRDB BANK MARK WORLD AIDS DAY. December 1st is World AIDS Day. CRDB Bank did charitable activities which included offering luncheon to orphan children from two orphanage centres; namely Mburahati and Yatima, both from Dar es Salaam City. Foodstuff, worth 400,000/= (four hundred thousand) was also sent to the two orphanage centres. This year’s World AIDS Day theme is “ Women, Girls and HIV/AIDS”. CRDB Bank, therefore, conducted workshops to four girls secondary schools prior to December 1st, in view of the same.The schools visited were Zanaki, Jangwani, Nurlyakhin and BabroJohnson. During the meetings, medical experts delivered on issues related to HIV/AIDS. |

CRDB BANK DONATED TO MENTALLY RETARDED CHILDREN OF DODOMA MUNICIPALITY. In a bid to mobilize funds for the mentally retarded children in Dodoma Municipality, the CRDB Bank organised and sponsored a football match between Members of the Parliament and the CRDB Bank. The two centres are Miyuji and Shinangali. The Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Honorable Frederick Sumaye, with a jerssey no. 9 in the back, took part in the match playing for the Parliamentarians’ team. A total of 8m/= was realised from the match. |
| 18/08/2004 | Official opening of CRDB Bank Nyerere branch which is located at Nyerere Road, adjacent to BOT in Mwanza. The opening was graced by Hon. John Pombe Magufuli (MP), The Minister of Works of the United Republic of Tanzania together with his counterpart Hon. Raila Oginga (MP), The Minister of Roads, Public Works and Housing of the Republic of Kenya. |
